The Chronicles of Bewa 8: Like a Nigerian

 CHAPTER EIGHT

Like a Nigerian

“Your life could have changed, you just had to blow it like pauper you are” Melissa smirked.

The anger I felt yesterday did not come to the heartbreak and sadness I felt at the fact that within a twinkle of an eye, I lost Kylian.

I looked at Alice for help, I could tell that she derive joy from my misery and Delphine, she just looked disappointed. No one is coming to save me, I need to save myself

“It was nice doing business with you” Melissa taunted me.

“I would expose you all, I am trending remember” I tried to use my earlier plan

“Yes, as a deranged psychopathic manic, no one would believe you”

“I have my marriage certificate to prove it”

“You are a Nigerian, you could have easily forged that” She insinuated.

Okay, that was offensive, why the fuck will she brand me a criminal just because I am a Nigerian. Moreover, it is not our fault that we Nigerians are smart and you guys are dumb as fuck.

That is beside the point right now, I need evidence and I need to think fast.

Like a Nigerian….

So I grabbed my phone and tapped on my camera. You profiled me a criminal just because I am a Nigeria, Oh! I will show the stuff we are made up of, after all, we Nigerians always find a way to adjust to every bad situation

“Hello guys, remember me” I started looking at my phone’s camera

“What the hell is she doing?” Alice stated

“I am the deranged psychopathic manic who claimed she is married to Kylian” Melissa looked at me with a bright smile on her face as she watched me dragged myself further down the rabbit hole, only that this time I am not.

“I am actually married to Kylian and I have my marriage certificate as proof” Melissa bursted into laughter.

“Also” I continued “You see these people” I switched to my back camera and Melissa and the other were on camera. “You know them, that is Melissa, Kylian’s sister-in-law and his lawyer, Delphine. They are Kylian’s inner circle, if I was not married to him, why would I be in a private jet with them” The smile on Melissa disappeared when the gravity of what I just did finally dawned on her. She moved closer to me

“Don’t come any closer, I am live” I warned her “You see my hand, the red paint” I continued talking to my phone “Delphine and Melissa just used these bouncers into forcing me to sign an annulment document" I turned my camera to the hefty men

"After what happened yesterday, Kylian is trying to cut me off and I think he is going to try and kill me” I made my voice shake

“What!” exclaimed Melissa

“I found Kylian’s secret, Kylian is gay and I found out yesterday after he had tricked me into marrying him about two months ago. That was why I did what I did, I am sorry for my action and but now my life is in danger. If anything happens to me, Kylian is responsible” I ended the video. I had a sharp intake of breath

“What the fuck did you just do?” Melissa lamented. I sent the recorded video to my sister rapidly

“She is lying, she was not live” Alice said and I looked up at her checking her phone

“You lied to us” An angry Melissa said. I clicked on the play button and the event of few seconds ago played. Melissa collected the phone from me

“I made you think I was live to prevent you from stopping me”

“Can you delete it?” Delphine asked

“You can try but it won’t matter, I sent the video to my sister already” My phone pinged at that moment “I guess that is her?” I collected my phone from them and truthfully, Bintu messaged asking if I was in danger

“My sweet, sweet sister, what should I tell her?”

“What do you want?” Delphine asked

“First of all, let me have that annulment paper”

“You want to stay married to the man you loathe and promise to fuck up” Alice cut in

“What can I say, I was angry but I very much love him” I retorted and when they made no effort to give the papers to me. I took the liberty of taking it myself and tore it into pieces

“Now to the main business, I need to speak to Fazya, get her here”

“What effrontery!” Melissa countered me “What rights do you think you have to make demands?”

“Because you can’t do jack shit for me, so please get me someone that can actually do” I retorted and turned towards the bathroom

“Fazya is not in the country right now” Delphine informed me with her eyes farrowed

“I am sure there is cell service wherever she might be, get her on the fucking phone” I said and left their view
