Bankole come out looking pissed as he march toward his mother and Jo

BANKOLE

MADAM BABADE

Seeing her like that, I didn’t even know when I started saying all those things

BANKOLE

Bankole drives his car over the flyover with Jo in next to him. Bankole keeps checking his cell phone regularly and he will sighs heavily in frustration each time he looks at his phone. This didn’t escape Jo’s notice

BANKOLE

Bankole looks unhappy

EXT. A HOUSE SOMEWHERE IN IBADAN- MORNING

A teenage Bankole in school uniform sells bread and akara (Bean Cake) with his much younger mother in front of their house. There were customers sitting under the shield on a bench helping themselves to a breakfast of bread and akara

Bankole looks up to see a young man and lady walking towards them. He smiles brightly when he sees the young lady, he leaves what he is doing and runs to her

ANIKE WADA, popularly called ANN is a fair, slim, tall young lady in her early twenties. The young man with her, WEMIMO AROTILE, is a dark, slim, tall man also in his early twenties

BANKOLE

Ann, how are you? How was your night?

ANN

You don’t stop, do you?

He replies with a confident smile

BANKOLE

A real man never stops aiming high

ANN

Well, a real man never leaves his mother to sell akara alone

BANKOLE

Oh that, I will see you later then

ANN

You should give up, you are too small for me

BANKOLE

You say that like it is suppose to send me packing

ANN

Wemimo bursts into laughter and give Bankole a thumbs up

Madam Babade looks up from the akara she is frying and smiles to Wemimo

Madam Babade talks to Bankole

A voice from afar replies

Ann walks to the left side of the house and looks up at the window

WEMIMO

What are you doing?

ANN

Waiting for her to show her face by that window with a smile on her face and say (mimicking Imade) oh my God, you guys are around. I am so sorry, I had trouble getting water to take my bath. Please kindly wait for me, I will be down in ten

WEMIMO

IMADE

The duo looks up at young IMADE in her early twenties. She looks at them with a bright smile on her face

Ann looks at Wemimo with I-told-you-so-look before looking up

ANN

Can’t you disappoint me for once and be prepared by the time we get here, Imade. Why are you always late?

IMADE

Come on Ann, you know how scare water is in Ibadan

Ann becomes angry

Hellooooo, I live in Ibadan too, do you see me coming late?

IMADE

Ann raises her voice

ANN

Wemimo quickly calms Ann down
