Are you okay?

INT. IMADE’HOUSE-EVENING

Inside her room, Imade dials Micheal’s number, constantly cleaning the tears flowing from her already tears stained face.

IMADE

Come on, Micheal, pick up

Then she hears that the number she dialled is switched off

IMADE

No, no, no, Micheal, please I need to talk to you

Then she breaks down in tears again, weeping her heart out. She looks up when she hears a knock on the door.

IMADE

Micheal?

She stands up with hope and happiness, then as she puts her hand on the door handle

BANKOLE

Sister, are you okay?

Imade’s hands drop when she hears her brother’s voice, she staggers to the floor as fresh tears gushes out

IMADE

What do you want Bankole?

BANKOLE

You haven’t come out of your room in two days, are you okay?

IMADE

I am fine, Bankole, leave me alone

BANKOLE

I am going to the state library, I will be late

IMADE

Okay

BANKOLE

Are you sure you are okay? Should I call your friends?

Imade snaps

IMADE

I said I am okay, Leave me the hell alone

BANKOLE

Okay then, I am leaving

Imade curls herself into a ball and starts to cry again

MICHEAL

Like I said not hard enough, you shouldn’t have to fight for her in the first place if you knew your place.
