Nameless Lawyer

INT. KINGS’S SCHOOL- AFTERNOON

Imade alights from the car and walk towards the entrance of the kindergarten. Before she gets to the door, her kids runs out through the door with one of their teachers behind them

The instant she sees her girls, she squats and opens her arms to them. The two kids run into their mother’s arm with so much happiness

IMADE

How was school today?

JAWA

Fine

Tawa opens her mouth to her mother and Imade notice a tooth missing

IMADE

(Exclaim) your teeth removed?

The little girl nods. She pats the little’s girl butt passionately with a bright smile on her face

IMADE

My baby had her first teeth removed

JOWA

(In her babyish voice) She cried

IMADE

(Brings her into her warm arm) Ahh… My baby went through a lot today… where is the tooth?

IMADE

Where is it?

The teachers hands a white handkerchief to Imade

TEACHER

It is in here, ma

She opens the handkerchief and finds the tooth

The teacher nods and leaves. Imade wraps the tooth back up

IMADE

I will put it where the tooth fairy will find it. So should we go and get ice cream

The girls jumps up and happily follows Imade into the waiting car

INT. COLDSTONE, IBADAN- AFTERNOON

Imade presses her phone as she waits for the cups of ice cream she ordered for. Seconds later, the server places a tray of two glass cups filled with ice cream with plastic spoon dipped into them, a bottle of soft drinks and wrapped pastries

She carries the tray back to her eager kids at the table. The little kids pounces on the treat the moment it was placed in front of them. Imade smiles softly as she watch her kids help themselves with ice-cream and doughnuts

She takes her eyes off them when her phone rings. She smirks when she see Ann as the caller ID

IMADE

(Sassily) About time

She picks the call

IMADE

Hello Ann

ANN

(In a pissed angry voice) The fuck are you doing, Imade?

IMADE

Humph! You are angry

ANN

Why the hell is a nameless lawyer asking me for the list of your assets?

IMADE

I see you met Josephine

ANN

Imade looks up and the light goes out her eyes the moment she sees Micheal. Micheal squats next to the kids and touches their cheek
