Why is Roti not asking the obvious question?
(Roti, Richard and Esosa were watching the President of DR Congo giving his speech)
President: I am using this medium to tell the people of Nigeria that they will be lucky to have President Ehosa has their President for the second time
Esosa: (perplex) I am sorry, is this happening right now?
Richard: she didn’t just get him to release the scientists, she got him to admit that research was official and also endorse President Ehosa
Esosa: I don’t like her but I must admit she is good
Roti: (smiling) I am happy to see that you are complimenting her
Richard: now that I think of it, she looks familiar
Esosa: who looks familiar?
Richard: Rere
Esosa: that will be because she is our boss
Richard: I have seen her somewhere else but it is definitely not Nigeria
Roti: and where will that be?
Richard: I can’t remember the place but I definitely know her (faces Roti) did you tell her?
Roti: tell her what?
Richard: that every guy in this office including you are Cain’s boys
Roti: is it necessary to tell her?
Esosa: of course it is, you don’t want her to find out from another source that is not you
Roti: I really don’t think that it is necessary
Richard: Roti tell her, I am sure she will understand
Roti: (sighs deeply) the real work is about to start, I need you to get me the names of all the delegate that will be voting in the primary
Esosa: alright (Roti leaves)
(The scenery changes back to the plane as turbulence jolts the WHITE WOMAN back to reality)
INT. PLANE- UNKNOWN
THE BLACK WOMAN: it is just turbulence
THE WHITE WOMAN: I know
THE BLACK WOMAN: are you enjoying the story?
THE WHITE WOMAN: I don’t know (she looks confuse) it just that there are many questions I want to ask
THE BLACK WOMAN: questions like what?
THE WHITE WOMAN: why is Roti not asking the obvious question?
THE BLACK WOMAN: which will be?
THE WHITE WOMAN: why must Nate Ehosa be the president? Why can’t she work for Ameberu? Who is she? Where did she come from? What does she want with Nate Ehosa? She is doing so many unspeakable things to get him elected for the second time. She lied to Roti about not been an American to Roti, why? Where was she the last two years? What was she doing? Roti mentioned the man she is in love with, who is he? Why is she no talking about him or is it that easy to forget someone you are madly in love with?
THE BLACK WOMAN: am sure if you read more you will get answers to your questions
THE WHITE WOMAN: I guess so
(She turns back to the book and she continues reading)
