INT. HOUSE OF SENATE- AFTERNOON
(Rere waits with Roti at the house of Senate. Senator Audu comes out with some people. Roti looks up from his phone)
Roti: Rere, I think they are done with today’s screening
Rere: alright (she and Roti walks towards Senator Audu. Rere meets him smiling) hello Senator Audu
Audu: hello (smiling)
Roti: (smiling as he stretches his hands to him) congratulations on your appointment sir
Audu: (shakes Roti) thank you but who might you be?
Rere: I am Rere Shapiro and this is my colleague, Roti Bello. We are the President’s Campaign Managers
Audu: oh nice to meet you
Rere: I am sure you know the reason why the president chose you for this position. The President really needs your help in the forthcoming election. I hope he can count on you
Audu: the President and I have talked, as far as the north is concerned. He has no problem
Roti: it is good to know that you are on our side
Rere: Senator, do you think there is anything we need to know about you
Audu: something like what?
Rere: any damning information Senator, anything that can sabotage what we are doing there
Audu: (becoming upset) are you asking if I am involved in any criminal activities? Are you saying I am a criminal?
Roti: of course not, we are not saying that. We are just asking if there is anything that can destroy what we are doing because since you are the President’s newly appointed SSG, whatever you do will surely affect the President
Rere: and if you are involved in any criminal activities, you should tell us. We don’t judge, in fact, we will help you clean up the mess
Roti: I know this might sound insulting to you but we are just doing our job
Audu: I know (smiles) well there is nothing for you to know about
Roti: well thank you for the honesty (the Senator leaves, Roti sighs) I knew it was a bad idea to ask him
Rere: I had to be sure
Roti: I searched and searched, he came out clean
Rere: I trust your judgement, if he is involved in anything shady. He kept it really well
Roti: I will keep digging until he is cleared by the Senate
Rere: thank you
