.....and you lied straight to my face
(Rere and Roti barge into a hotel room to find Senator Audu in the arms of a young woman in her early twenties. The duo separates when they see Rere and Roti)
Audu: (alarmed) what the hell Ms Shapiro?
Rere: (talking to the lady in a harsh voice) hey get out, this place is about to get hot (the lady looks at the senator)
Audu: Ms Shapiro, how dare you invade my privacy?
Rere: I think it is best you ask your lady to get out because you don’t want her to know why I am here
Audu: (he signals to the lady, she stands up and leave, Roti locks the door after her. Audu stands up looking very angry) you better have a good explanation for your behaviour this night because I am asking the President to fire you
Rere: by chance do you know a lady called Sally
Audu: am I supposed to?
Roti: she was your mistress Senator, she told you she was pregnant and you told her to abort the baby
Audu: you two better have proof of this accusation
Rere: oh we do senator (she brought out some pictures from her bag and fling it at the Senator) and just so you know, we have trace of money you sent to her account
Audu: how did you get this?
Rere: that is not the issue here Senator, (talks angrily in a loud voice) I asked point blank if you were involved in anything shady that can destroy what we are trying to do and you lied straight to my face
Audu: were you expecting me to confess all of my sins to you and what can a slut do?
Roti: well that slut is going to be on air 8 am today where she will tell the entire world what happened between you two
Audu: this is my business, I will handle it
Rere: it is no longer your business anymore because whatever you do affects the president, which is why you are going to write a cheque of 5 million naira or better still you can transfer the money into my account
Audu: and what will that money be for?
Rere: to pay your slut off of course
Audu: I am not paying that woman five million
Rere: you are not paying her five million, you are paying her three million and the other two million for robbing my staff and I of our sleep
Audu: I am not paying anybody anything, I am not going to be threatened into doing what I don’t want to do
Rere: (smiling) you don’t have to pay her or me, three million is a small money. I can get the president to pay her off. But as for you, your political career is over (she walks out of the room)
Roti: you are a very close friend of Senator Nnukwa, I am sure he must have told you what Ms Shapiro did to him
Audu: he did not tell me anything
Roti: (smiling) he must have been ashamed but you would have guessed something happened to him before he decided to vote for a bill he was strongly against. (His smile disappears) I suggest you transfer that money into her account
(Rere is pacing at the front of the elevator when Roti walk up to her)
Rere: so? Did the plan work?
Roti: of course, we have five m
Rere: good (she presses the elevator button)
