Oluremi Agbaje is your father

INT. ONE TELEVISION STATION IN ABUJA- NIGHT
(In a television station, the President is been prep for his interview, Rere walks to the green room where the anchor of the show is standing)

Rere: (smiling as she walks towards Susan with a file in her hand) hello Susan
Susan: hello Rere

Rere: (stretches the file to her) I made some changes to the interview questions

Susan: (upset) you did what? (Collects the file from her) it is not your place to do that

Rere: this interview is for people to know more about The President’s election agendas. The questions you were going to ask him is not really diving into the agendas
Susan: I set question that I feel is best for people to know, (in a loud voice) this is my office, you can’t come in here and tell me what to do

Rere: I am sorry if I overstep my boundary but you need to ask The President question number 8

Susan: I will do as I see fit (she leaves)

INT.ONE TELEVISION STATION IN ABUJA- NIGHT
(The interview is going on, the president is been questioned by the Susan)

Susan: we have been hearing rumours that the party is against your agendas, especially the one of fair justices, is that true?

Nate: yes, that is true but that was when I first introduced the agendas to them. With the help of my campaign team, have been able to convince them that fair justice system can and will be achieved in Nigeria. Difficult to achieve? Yes but all it takes is one step and my second administration hopes to takes that one step

Susan: so you really believe that it can be achieved?

Nate: yes

Susan: so what do you think could have been done different in your firm’s previous case?

Rere: (looks grimly) about time

Nate: my previous case?

Susan: the rape case your colleague Oluremi Agbaje was working on twenty five years ago. I heard there was a mistrial because of lack of evidence

Nate: (looking surprising for a second before he looks confident again) that is exactly what I am trying to prevent, you see. My late friend Oluremi Agbaje who was the lead lawyer on that case then, lost the evidence we could have used to win the case. My administration is going to do everything we can to prevent such from ever happening again

Rere: (from the green room, she looks shaken as she breathe in and out harshly) son of a bitch, he pinned everything on him (tears start to form in her eyes)

Esosa: (notices her mood) are you okay?

Rere: (turns her face away) yes I am (she turns to leave) stay here until the interview is done

Esosa: where are you going?

Rere: (harshly) none of your business (she leaves the green room and goes to the parking lot. By the time she got to the parking lot, the tears were already flowing. She turns her face away when she sees Roti standing next to her car)

Roti: we need to talk Rere

Rere: (keeps walking to her car as she fumbles to bring her keys out of her bag) not now Roti

Roti: (she moves past him) it is either now or I am going straight to The President to tell him that Oluremi Agbaje is your father

Rere: (snaps with rage as she turns to him) you want to know why I want The President to win his second election?  (Roti looks shaken when he sees the tear in her eyes) I want to kill him for killing my father, is your question answered? (Roti gives no response, Rere opens her car and drives away)
