(Rere stands at the balcony of her office smoking as she looks into the air, Roti joins her)
Roti: how was it?
Rere: I could not see him
Roti: you couldn’t or you did not try to see him.
Rere your husband was in coma for two months and you haven’t try to see him since he got out of it last week
Rere: (in a loud voice) I tried to see him every day since he got out but each time I am about to get to his room, I just freeze up. What am I supposed to say him? I am sorry for getting you into accident or I am sorry for using you
Roti: how about I am ready to accept your deal
Rere: you know I can’t do that
Roti: of course can
Rere: why are you talking like an amateur, Ehosa won the election which means he is more powerful than ever, he will never let the case see the light of the day?
Roti: is it worth it Rere?
Rere: what?
Roti: is losing Alex worth standing over Ehosa’s body for? Even though I am not exactly the man’s fan but I respect the kind of love he has for you, I cannot love a woman the way he loves you. If I am Alex, the second I knew you killed my child for your job, I would have divorce your ass that very instance but instead he came back to you even after he find out that everything was a lie and that you used him to get to his father, not to talk about all the crap you pulled him through before he found out about your secret and yet he kept coming back to you until he could not take it anymore and am very sure that, even as he lies on his sick bed, he is still hoping that you will come back to him. So tell him, is standing over the father’s body worth losing the son for?
Rere: (looking so confuse) Roti
Roti: Ehosa robbed you of a life with your father, don’t make him rob you of a life with the man that loves you unconditionally (he leaves)
