Hello Sophie!
INT. ASO ROCK- AFTERNOON
(Sophie is seen typing on her computer when Rere walks towards the president’s office)
Sophie: (smiling) hello Ms Shapiro
Rere: (without looking at her) hello Sophie (she enters the President’s office to see Nate pacing angrily)
Nate: (sees Rere and walks towards her) how on earth did this happen Rere? How on earth, did that bastard call the Senate from recess to impeach me and you didn’t know about it? and how did the conversation that we had in my office get out there?
Rere: I am going to start with the last question, I recorded our conservation and released it to the world
Nate: (shocked) what?
Rere: you know I could swear that no matter how long it was, that you would know me in an instant. If not that because I have a striking resemblance to my father, I could have sworn that my mother cheated on my father with you and that you are my father because of the kind of love you showed to me but all that was a lie, isn’t it
Nate: (looks at Rere in a new light) oh my God, you are my little Barbie
Rere: (smiling sadly) yes I am Lolu, your little Barbie
Nate: how did I not recognise you?
Rere: good question
Nate: you are the star witness
Rere: I watched you kill my father
Nate: (remorse set in) it was a mistake, killing your father was a mistake. I never intend to kill him
Rere: but you brought a gun?
Nate: that was to threaten him to do what I want, if I knew you were behind the tree, I would never have brought the gun out of my pocket. I never wanted to kill him (tears rolls down his eyes) I am very sorry that you had to see that
Rere: (surprised to see his tear) you want me to believe your crocodile tear, you want me to believe that you are sorry
Nate: you don’t have to believe me but your father was more than just my friend, I loved him. Killing him was the biggest mistake of my life and it took something valuable from me
Rere: (bursts into laughter) unbelievable
Nate: so what, you did all of this to get back at me
Rere: no I did this because you took the one person who matter the most to me, you ruin my life
Nate: yes I understand and I believe that running my political career is the smallest punishment I can ever receive
Rere: (looking shocked) what?
Nate: I accept whatever punishment you give me but why will you do this to yourself
Rere: what are you talking about?
Nate: I know that I ruined your life but this last year, you started a new life with my son and I know that he love you more than he even love his mother
Rere: I know (tears forms in her eyes)
Nate: he told me about there been a witness, which mean that he know that you are Lolu
Rere: yes he does
Nate: I may have ruined your life 25 years ago but you just ruined the new life you started all by yourself
Rere: yes I know that and seeing how you are showing remorse, losing Alex is not worth it (Nate suddenly hold his chest and he cries out in pain.) are you okay?
Nate: go Rere, go and make peace with my son (Rere leaves the office in tears)
Sophie: (sees the tears on Rere’s face) are you okay Ms Shapiro? (Rere gives no response and runs off. Sophie stands up and enters The President office. Nate is seen on the ground in pain, Sophie walks to him with a pale look on her face and she watches Nate take his last breath. Then she picks the president’s phone and press some button) hello Roti, this is Sophie
Roti: what do you have for me?
Sophie: the President is dead
Roti: you used the poison like I asked you
Sophie: yes, a pinch in his tea every week
Roti: then the cause of death will be heart attack, you did well
Sophie: Ms Shapiro was here
Roti: did she see him die?
Sophie: no
Roti: then she was never here
Sophie: I will handle it (Roti drops the call)
***************************
Finally Rere got what she wanted at the expense of losing everything good in her life
